Our Team Bios
Dr. Shrayesh Patel
Shrayesh graduated from Kings College, London in 2010 training across two hospitals in London. He then completed a training year in Birmingham. Shrayesh then decided to come back to his hometown of Oxford and started working in general practice where he developed an interest in Orthodontics. Since 2014 Shrayesh has been the Principal Dentist and Director of Market Square Dental. Over time he has developed his interests and has undergone further training in Orthodontics and Aesthetic Dentistry. He is a keen provider of Invisalign clear aligners. In his spare time, Shrayesh enjoys travelling to different parts of the world and is a keen footballer.
Katy Gordge
Katy joined Market Square Dental as a trainee Dental Nurse in 2017. As well as her dental nursing qualification, she is qualified in impression taking, nursing for Dental Sedation and holds an advanced qualification in Implant nursing. Alongside helping to manage Infection Control and Compliance, she helps to provide support and direction to the nursing team to enhance their performance, skills and knowledge. Katy loves interacting with patients, helping to ease their anxiety and ensuring they are provided with the best care possible when attending for appointments. Outside of work, she loves being out in nature and can often be found hiking, camping or simply with her head stuck in a book!
Amee Patel
Amee has been part of the Market Square Dental team for almost 10 years. She is a key part of operations and is essential for the smooth running of the practice and business. In addition to this Amee works behind the scenes to ensure that the patients and the team are well looked after. Amee is also a qualified Pharmacist which adds further expertise and knowledge to our clinical team. In her spare time, Amee enjoys travelling, spending time with family and friends and drinking tea!
Charlotte Anderson
Charlotte has been at Market Square Dental since 2023, first as our receptionist before taking on the role of Reception Manager. She takes great pride in ensuring everything runs smoothly and our patients have a comfortable and enjoyable journey through their dental care! One of her favourite parts of working here is getting to know the patients and hearing their stories – no two patients are the same! Outside of work, Charlotte is a keen cook and loves coming up with new recipes to share with her family and friends.
Dr. Gustavo Rodrigues
Gus is a general dental practitioner. He graduated in Portugal from Lisbon University in 2008. Following this he had an internship at the Hospital of Santa Maria in Lisbon. He has worked in the UK since 2009 in places including Norfolk, Berkshire and Oxfordshire. He continues to participate in courses quite regularly to stay up to date and offer more services. The things he most enjoys about dentistry include being able to ease pain and the satisfaction of restoring a smile. In his spare time, Gus enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He likes to stay active by going to the gym and running.
Dr. Kristlee Fernandes
Kris is a Specialist Endodontist with over two decades of clinical experience. A graduate of Goa Dental College & Hospital, he completed his Master’s in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, developing expertise in advanced root canal therapy and restorative care. Since 2007, Kris has combined practice with teaching, earning a reputation for precision, compassion, and a strong commitment to preserving natural teeth. He is dedicated to using the latest techniques to provide comfortable, effective treatment and takes pride in guiding patients toward long-term oral health.
Dr. Sita Madaan
Dr. Sita qualified as a dentist in 2014 from Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry. She has worked alongside eminent maxillofacial surgeons in East Anglia, treating severe jaw pain and TMJ problems. Her ethos is centred on minimally invasive, biomimetic dentistry, and she is committed to delivering the highest quality care by regularly attending courses and investing in the latest technology. Outside of dentistry, Sita is a passionate soprano singer and has performed in multiple recitals and choirs in London and Oxford, with her most recent performance being with the Oxford Harmonic Choir at the Sheldonian Theatre.
Mere Waqatevuya
Mere is a senior member of our dental nursing team at Market Square Dental. She joined our team in October 2021 as a trainee dental nurse and worked towards successfully achieving her Level 3 Dental Nursing qualification in 2023. Mere is a dedicated member of our team who is committed to developing her skills and knowledge to be able to provide the best clinical care for our patients and clinical support to our dentists, specialists and to her colleagues. Besides her passion for work, Mere also loves gardening, baking and handicrafts.
QiuTong Liu
QiuTong has been training as a dental nurse with us since February 2025. She is enthusiastic about not only solving problems with the clinician through treatment but educating patients about daily oral care under the clinician’s guidance. QiuTong says she feels happy for patients when they leave feeling better about their teeth. Outside of the practice, QiuTong likes to try all kinds of different food with her friends and family, and relax with some knitting.
Chloe Sheppard
Chloe is one of our friendly dental nurses and joined us back in November 2023. She enjoys assisting patients in their journeys through specialist treatments and learning new things. In her spare time, Chloe likes to indulge her creative side and take on mini art and crafts projects!
Saritha Kakani
Saritha started with us in August 2025 as a Trainee Dental Nurse, her favourite parts so far have been assisting the dentist during treatments and learning all about infection control and our decontamination process! In her spare time, Saritha enjoys spending time with her children.
Elliott Donald
Elliott has been with our practice since 2024 as a dental receptionist. They are passionate about making patients feel comfortable and relaxed during their visits to the practice. Outside of work they enjoy live music, indoor climbing and camping trips with their partner.
Charlotte Stacey
Charlotte qualified with a Foundation Degree in Oral Health Science in September 2023 and always strives to achieve great patient satisfaction. She particularly enjoys building relationships with each of her patients and helping them to become more confident in their smile. She strives to be the best I can be in her job and is due to be taking on more courses in facial aesthetics and whitening.
Adnan Ahmed
Adnan graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree in 2018. In 2021 he obtained his Master's Degree in Oral Pathology with distinction from Queen Mary University of London. Adnan is very dedicated to the dental healthcare profession and strives to ensure all of his patients feel comfortable. Outside of his work, Adnan enjoys spending time with his family, cooking and travelling.
Dr. Samantha Cottam
Samantha graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Birmingham in 2017. She then went on to achieve the Diploma of Membership of Faculty of Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons (MFDS RCSEd) in 2018. She completed her PGCert in Medical Education (Dental) in July 2023 and has enrolled on an MSc in Oral Surgery to start January 2024. Samantha developed her love of Oral Surgery during her time working in hospitals in both Southampton and Swindon. She works full time as an oral surgeon in Hampshire and provides sedation for patients as well as training for dentists and nurses in provision of sedation. Outside of work, Samantha is a keen crafter and enjoys sewing, crochet and cross stitch. She also loves tap dancing and skiing, something she has done for many years. Samantha is a dog lover and can often be found on long walks in the countryside with the family dog.
Gargi Bakshi
Gargi is a highly skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist, who has been a part of Market Square Dental since 2024. Her professional journey began in India, where she developed a deep understanding of patient needs and clinical expertise. Since moving to the UK, Gargi has gained extensive experience working across various dental practices, excelling in preventive treatments, scaling and root planing, and oral health education, working closely with dentists to develop tailored treatment plans. Gargi is passionate about promoting oral health awareness and helping patients build lifelong habits for a healthy smile. With a strong background in oral healthcare, Gargi is committed to helping patients achieve and maintain optimal oral health through gentle, thorough, and personalised care. Outside of work, Gargi likes painting and travelling to different destinations with her family.
Dr. Mafalda Vilhena
Mafalda graduated in Portugal in 2014 and was invited to join the Periodontology department of the university right after. This opportunity led her to start her journey working exclusively in periodontology. She has also completed Post-Graduate Residency programs in Periodontology and Medicine and Oral Pathology. Mafalda says that “being a dentist gave me the opportunity to understand how we can make a big difference in people’s lives by taking care of their smile, especially with their gums” and her aim is to help patients to improve their self-confidence, involving them in the decision making process at every stage of their treatment. Outside the clinical environment, Mafalda really enjoys arts and crafts, photography and travelling around the globe with her family.
Dr. Roshwin Pereira Carvalho
Roshwin is our dental implantologist at Market Square Dental, with a passion for surgery developed through hospital maxillofacial work after graduating in 2012. He trained in implant dentistry with Nobel Biocare and leading West End surgeons, and holds a prestigious Implant Dentistry diploma from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Roshwin now consults across multiple practices in Milton Keynes, London and Bedford, while also teaching and mentoring dentists. He provides everything from single-tooth to full-mouth implants, including complex grafting. His focus is on patient comfort and helping everyone achieve fixed teeth to eat well and smile confidently.
Dr. Nahid Rahman
Nahid is a GDC-registered dentist with over 15 years’ experience, having graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2009. He is known for his gentle, kind approach and is actively involved in mentoring dentists and dental nurses. While he enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, his main interests are cosmetic treatments such as composite bonding, aligners and facial aesthetics. A Platinum QST provider, he has completed over 50 aligner cases and undertaken advanced training in smile makeovers. Nahid also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Aesthetic Injectables from No.1 Harley Street and has carried out over 100 facial aesthetic treatments. Originally from Oxfordshire, he joined Market Square Dental due to his strong connection with Bicester and its community, and enjoys travelling, cooking, family time and football.
Dr. Jai Jandu
Jai qualified from Manchester University and has worked as an associate in general practice since and joined the Market Square team in June 2024. He enjoys taking time to get to know his patients, knowing no two patients are the same. Jai is keen on developing his skills with the latest techniques and materials. He became a Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons in 2022 after completing his membership exams. He is Invisalign accredited, has undertaken a PGCert in Clinical and Evidence-based Implant Dentistry, and is currently studying for an MSc in Evidence-based Healthcare. He has published across dental journals and is interested in how research can translate into improving practical outcomes. Away from dentistry, he likes to spend time exploring Oxford with family and friends and getting stuck into a good book!
Dr. Alina Cojocaru
Alina graduated in 2013 with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Carol Davila, Romania, and later completed a 3-year postgraduate programme gaining Specialist Accreditation in Periodontology. She has further enhanced her skills through advanced courses across Europe with leading international lecturers. Her main focus is non-surgical and surgical periodontal care, including minimally invasive, aesthetic techniques and management of peri-implant infections. Alina strongly believes in prevention, minimal intervention and patient satisfaction. She also has a keen interest in aesthetic and restorative dentistry, practising biomimetic, tooth-preserving approaches within a multidisciplinary treatment philosophy. Outside dentistry, she enjoys cycling, trekking and cooking for friends.
